Express Bids is established as a Limited Company and registered with Companies House in the United Kingdom. Express Bids carries the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) accreditation to give you our valued customer, the peace of mind that your personal details are securely stored within our database and will not be distributed to any third parties without your prior consent.
Five percent (5%) of ALL entry fees received during the bidding process across our three auction platforms Low Bid, High Bid and Dream Prize auctions, will be divided equally between our two chosen charities, namely: Cancer Research UK and World Vision which are listed on the homepage of our website.
Our continued focus is on customer satisfaction and enjoyment and to ensure that you leave our website happy, excited and wanting to return. Throughout our entire auction cycle, the bid process is aimed at being as simple as possible for you our valued customer.
There are three online variations of Auction Platforms on our Express Bids website, namely:
- Low Bid Auctions – Also known as Reverse Bid Auctions where the “Lowest Unique” bid will win the auction. There is a set number of bids required in order for bidding to close and each bid will carry an entry fee, which will have a value dependant on the value of the product being auctioned. Once the required number of bids is reached, the “Lowest Unique” bid which no one else has bid will win the auction.
- High Bid Auctions – The most common auction design where the highest bid when the hammer falls will win the auction on a set auction closing date. There is a set entry fee of £5 for each bid placed in this auction process.
- Dream Prize Raffles – Works in the same way as the Low Bid auction platform except that there is no bid but rather only a entry fee and works just like a raffle, with the winner being drawn at random. The auction period will close when the required number of entries which are continually displayed throughout the auction are reached.
You the bidder are only required to pay only your entry fee into the auction initially and not your bid value in our Low and High Bid auctions unless come the end of the auction you are the successful bidder. Should you be the successful bidder at the end of the designated auction period, you will then be required to pay your bid value in order to receive your product which you won in the auction.
All products which are auctioned on our website are brand new products and carry a full manufacturer’s warranty.
